Lacrosse: a mesh jersey cut over pads, and a reversible for every practice
Lacrosse borrows from three sports at once. The jersey is cut over shoulder pads like hockey, it is a sleeveless mesh like basketball, and the practice culture runs on reversible pinnies the way basketball does. The result is a garment with its own pattern that is not any of the three.
Men’s and women’s lacrosse are also two different sports with two different kits, and we pattern them separately rather than offering one jersey in two names.
A mesh jersey that still clears the pads
The men’s jersey has to go over shoulder pads and arm guards, so the armhole is cut deep and the body is cut wide at the top. But it is also a hot-weather sport, so the body is an open mesh rather than the closed knit a hockey jersey uses. The two demands pull in opposite directions — mesh has no structure and a padded cut needs some — and the answer is a heavier mesh through the shoulder panel and a lighter one through the body.
The back number is the largest of any sport we make for, because a lacrosse official reads it from further away than a basketball official does. It is sublimated rather than pressed, because a large pressed number on an open mesh lifts at the edges within a season. The pinnie is the workhorse
A lacrosse program buys more pinnies than jerseys. They are worn every practice, split the squad into two colours, and are handed out from a bag rather than assigned to a player, so they take more abuse than any game garment.
We make them as a bonded two-layer reversible with a number on both faces, in a mesh light enough to wear over a jersey. The number is dyed rather than pressed, because a pinnie is turned inside out twice a session and anything on the surface takes that from both directions.

What we make for lacrosse, and what it costs
Prices are per piece and include the design work. Every garment has a minimum of 10 pieces; sizes can be mixed within it. A garment marked quoted is priced per order, because its cut and design coverage change the work.

Do you make both men’s and women’s lacrosse uniforms?
Yes, and they are drafted from different blocks. The men’s jersey clears pads; the women’s is fitted and pairs with a kilt or skort.
Are the pinnies reversible?
Yes — two colours, bonded, with a number on both faces, in a mesh light enough to wear over a jersey.
How large can the back number be?
As large as your league allows, and lacrosse allows a large one. Send the rule and we lay the panel out to it.
Can the shorts have pockets?
Yes, as an option on the men’s short. Most programs leave them off game shorts and put them on practice shorts.
What is the minimum?
Ten pieces of one garment. Pinnies in two colours count as one garment.
Can the kilt and the jersey match?
Yes, when they are ordered together. They come from one printed roll, so the colour is identical.
Do you make goalie jerseys for lacrosse?
Yes, on a wider block to clear the chest protector, in the same design.
How long does it take?
Two to three weeks from approved artwork for jerseys and pinnies together.
