From a sketch on your phone to kit in the bag
Ordering team uniforms should not require a design background or a purchasing department. Here is exactly what happens, and what we need from you at each point.

Sport, roster size, colours and the date you need them by. Send a sketch, a photo or last season’s kit — anything is enough to start.

Free digital mockup
Our design team draws your kit to scale — front, back and sleeves — and revises it until the coach and the parents are happy.

Quote and approval
A written quote against the approved artwork: fabric, cut, decoration and quantity, with nothing added later.

Production and delivery
Cut, sublimated or stitched, finished and quality-checked in our own factory, then shipped with tracking.
What each stage actually needs from you
Most delays are one of these arriving late rather than anything happening in the factory.
- To quote
- The sport, roughly how many pieces, and your colours. That is genuinely enough for a number; everything else can follow.
- To mock up
- A logo file, ideally vector, and any reference for the design — last season’s kit, a sketch, a photo of something you liked.
- To confirm
- Your approval of the proof in writing. This is the single largest source of delay in the whole process and it sits entirely with you.
- To produce
- A complete size list. A roster with four names marked TBC is not a size list, and production cannot start against it.
- To personalise
- Names and numbers as a typed list rather than a photograph of a handwritten one, because a misread name is a remade garment.
- To deliver
- One address and one person who will be there. Split deliveries are possible and they cost a second freight leg.
The one thing that changes your delivery date
Programs assume the variable is the factory. It is not — production takes the time it takes, and it is roughly the same for everybody. The variable is how long a proof sits in an inbox.
A proof approved the day it arrives and a proof approved the following Tuesday are the same amount of work and two different delivery dates. Nothing downstream recovers those days, because every stage after approval is waiting on a physical process rather than on effort.
So the practical advice is unglamorous: decide in advance who approves, and tell them a proof is coming. Programs that do this get their kit earlier than programs that spend more money, and we walk through the whole sequence in our guide to the production timeline.
Where orders actually go wrong
Four failures we see repeatedly, all of them avoidable before anything is made.
Sizes collected twice
A list gathered in June and an order placed in August will not match, because players grow and rosters change. Collect them close to the order, not close to the decision.
A logo that arrives as a screenshot
It gets redrawn, which is fine, but the redraw needs approving and that adds a cycle. Ask the school or the sponsor for the real file at the start.
A colour agreed on a screen
Two people looking at two screens have agreed on nothing. A Pantone number or a swatch is the only version of this conversation that holds.
The second order nobody planned
The practice set everybody knew was coming, ordered separately three weeks later, pays the setup cost twice and risks not matching.
Questions we get asked
Do mockups cost anything?
No. We draw your kit and revise it until you are happy before any money is discussed, and you are under no obligation to order.
What do you need from me to start?
The sport, roughly how many pieces, your colours, and any logo file you have. A phone photo of last season’s kit or a hand-drawn sketch is enough — we take it from there.
Can I see a sample before the full run?
Yes. For larger programs we can produce a physical sample first so you can check fit and feel. Ask for it when you request the quote.
Do you print names and numbers?
Yes — names, numbers, sponsor marks and school crests are part of the kit, not an extra we spring on you later. Send the roster as a list and we will lay it out.
How long does production take?
It depends on the decoration and the quantity, so we give you a date in writing with the quote — and if a date is not achievable we say so before you commit.
What if the sizes are wrong?
Tell us as soon as the kit arrives. We will look at what went wrong against the approved sizing sheet and put it right.
What is the fastest we can realistically go?
Faster than most programs expect, if the proof is approved the day it arrives and the size list is complete. Those two things move the date more than any amount of paying for urgency.
Can we change the design after approving the proof?
Yes, and it restarts the approval stage. Small changes cost days rather than weeks; a colour change restarts more than that, because the fabric may already be allocated.
When is it too late to change a size?
Once panels are cut. Before that it is an adjustment; after that it is a remake, priced as one. It is the deadline worth writing down at order confirmation.
Do you need the size list before you start?
Before production, yes — a complete one. We can quote, mock up and get approval without it, so it need not hold up the early stages, but nothing is cut against a partial roster.
